Airborne Hero: D-Day Frontline 1944 Asylum Games 2004

During the dark early hours of the 6th of June 1944, the Airborne Rangers parachute down in their hundreds behind the German lines in Normandy. The huge Invasion named "Overlord" has begun - with the purpose of ending the Hitler regime once and for all. One of these Airborne soldiers is called Lt. Peter Smith - he's in one of the countless planes, eagerly awaiting the green light to jump out into the black void where the Nazis are waiting. As the green light at last goes on, the plane is hit by a stream of flak - Peter Smith is catapulted out of the aircraft just before it explodes - a chance in a million. He misses his target landing zone and sets down hard in an area that is unknown to him. He's angry and spoiling for a fight - he decides to carry out his platoon's mission on his own. I'll show these Krauts he says to himself grimly. The game features 10 extensive and absorbing D-Day Levels set in a historic Second World War story. Black and White in-game videos including an intro and outro as well as an orchestral soundtrack add to the atmosphere. Experience action in a massive tank slaughter and the use of 6 authentic weapons.
