The granddaddy of hunting games returns in this "2005 Season" release. This version of Deer Hunter runs on a new game engine, designed to produce more realistic graphics and authentic animal behavior. The game features eight main hunting sites, set in North America, Europe, and even Australia. Six species of deer are available to hunt, including the rare Australian Sambar Deer and European Roe Deer. Multiplayer action, for up to a dozen virtual hunters, is supported via Internet or local network. It has different weapons, ammo, vehicles, equipment (e.g. binoculars and scopes) and animals. There are also ambient animals, like eagles and kangaroos. The game offers multiplayer game modes through Gamespy, customizable weapons, and a level editor, so you can make your own maps, or download them from the internet. New locations are Germany and Australia. The game uses the Tokamak SDK for realistic physics and also has a bullet camera to watch your best shots again. | ||
