Space Corps Banshee Studios 2002

Conversion of a classic overhead space ship shoot-em-up Amiga game from the late 1980's and early 1990's to the PC. Written initially under the banner of 'Infinite Dimensions', Space Corps is full on action featuring sound tracks by 4Fit and some of Tamir Erez's greatest instrumentals. Every time you shoot down an enemy ship you gain rank, and higher ranks have access to more powerful ships from different shipyards. The ships featured in this version are all new because at the time the developer had not re-discovered the original Space Corps graphics and likewise the range of weaponry is greatly different to what original users will be used too. There are still rockets and homing missiles, but that's just the tip of the iceberg! Now you get to blast away with area of effect weapons and mass drivers. Everytime you shoot down an enemy ship you gain rank, and higher ranks have access to more powerful ships from different shipyards. Also added - a non-playable corvette class ship to give you some grief - it would be too powerful to let you play it but shooting it down, now that's another matter! Also new in this version is another non-playable ship - the stealth ship! There's plenty of technical improvements too, although the game keeps it's original 2D format it is all written in 3D so you can zoom in and out of the battle. Single player only.
