Korean Dungeon Boy / Chorongi-ui Moheom [K] Choe Wanseop / Computer War System Soft 1991

This is a popular freeware first-person dungeon crawler shooter in Hercules graphics with pseudo-3D monochrome graphics. The player controls the titular character as he runs through labyrinths, trying to reach the exit before the time allotted for the stage completion runs out. Combat is action-based, with free movement and attacking; the players needs to move a cursor with the arrow keys to aim and shoot. The hero is equipped with various firearms, most of which require ammunition, while others need batteries to function. Batteries also power-up the protagonist's armor and the radar that displays a mini-map of the stage, and must be found and collected regularly. The hero can also cast spells, which work like expendable items. The hero has to find the exit of each dungeon floor before a timer runs out, but also needs to take care not running out of ammunition or batteries, which fuel his primary weapon, armor and radar. Powerups for those lie around on the dungeon floor, but the hunt for those items is disturbed by a number of hostile creatures. Enemies are aimed at with a keyboard-controlled cursor. Still, the game doesn't feel quite like a shooter, maybe more akin to a realtime action RPG.
