Blue Sabers: Blue Wings Part III Blue & White / Project-Firestorm 2003

This doujin shmup whose special feature is the ability to call in part a support vessel to refuel your weapons and your shield (of varying size depending on the aircraft you have chosen, and which number 3) in addition to protecting you. Each plane has a head shot and three selectable types of weapons, but limited munition, hence the usefulness of the support. But watch your support vessel as it also has a life bar, so play with it moderately in order not to lose it too quickly. Aircraft armament each have different settings which increases the life of the app. The arms are divided into three categories: a front, a homing and devastating strike whose representation and usage is different for each device. You also have the choice between two types of support aircraft, one to recharge your weapons faster, the other to protect yourself during charging but the shot is too slow. The sprites are nice enough and rather cool decorations recalling some PSX game. The handling of the aircraft is pleasant and the use of support vessel brings a real plus to the gameplay. The music is pretty mundane but does not deter from the action. The sound effects are good quality and the game offers a number of setting options (display, music, etc ...). Enemy side, it starts out slow, but it quickly becomes vicious, the screen filling fast if you do not choose the right type of shot. The bosses are quite successful, offering classic patterns but effective shots. The plus is that you can destroy all the artillery of the enemy to facilitate action, it also requires to stay longer facing the enemy and it is quite durable.
