Silent Hill: The Arcade is an arcade game based on the Silent Hill survival horror series by Konami. The game was developed by a branch of Konami's Japanese department in conjunction with a few members of Team Silent. It was released in Japan in July 2007 and in Europe/Australia in 2008. It uses elements from Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4: The Room such as locations, monsters and music. Silent Hill: The Arcade deals with two characters, Eric and Tina, who have entered the town of Silent Hill and must battle monsters while uncovering the mystery behind Eric's nightmares about a girl and a steamship. The Arcade has currently never been ported to consoles, thus the game is rare. However, in February 2014, it was unofficially ported to PC by fans, although the game can only run on monitors that support 640x480 resolution. |
