Fraxy is a free game like Warning Forever crossed with Gradius 5 - bosses only and you can pick them apart. You fight bosses un-relentlessly in an arcade space shooter. Pretty simple. But you can also make your own bosses, from scratch or based off of another. You can add guns, lasers, homing lasers, anything you want, really. The game is mostly a multidirectional shooter but has a larger map than the screen depending on the design of the stage in which its set in. It has a wide variety of customization. The premise is to fight creations on an overhead, free-range view using a number of different weapons. Energy is deducted whenever a shot is fired or the speed boost is activated. Without energy, your ship will explode. Up to five weapon slots can be fitted with your choice of arsenal using the config.exe file, with an explanation for each found in an english text manual in the same folder. An undocumented item is the Over Soll Power boost, which can be acquired by staying in the core of a power-up item for a couple of seconds. Much like Cho Ren Sha 68k, though this upgrade is a temporary one and useful only when the ship is at full strength. A specially designed Try mode is available for players to experience preset challenges, while the Free Play mode offers a random run or unlimited practice for experimentation. | ||
