This is billed as a prequel to Undying, and its collection of 22 user-made maps are worthy of a look. The pack's two developers -- Gibdo (mapper) and Markus "TheCrazyGerman" Korb - (writer and designer) took a peek at Patrick Galloway's family and enemies. In addition, the pack contains several cutscenes, detailed exteriors, monsters with altered behavior, and weapons. There's about 3 hours of gameplay. It also brings a few of the features programmed into the game, but never used, into play. The most interesting of these is the lantern, which not only is one of the best player carried light sources seen in a game, but actually servers an interesting gameplay purpose. You aren’t just fighting the exact same adversaries from the game here either. |
