This is a fascinating 3D space game from DespeRadoX. There are 3 ships to choose from: defensive, merchant and pirate and corresponding game styles: systems patrol, pirate catching; profitable sale of goods, transportation of contraband; robbery of peaceful ships. You can hide all advertising on the site. How? Planets and space are made at a photographic level. The player himself determines who he should be - a pirate, merchant or military man. It's a 3D space exploration, trading role playing action game (now THATS a mouthful). You start out with a weak ship and go from port to port buying goods and selling them, accepting and completing quests, or doing whatever you feel like doing. you obviously can upgrade your ship, and even update your character, as the game has rpg style experience (not much of a surprise considering it is an rpg too, it has an rpg style inventory, quests and more.) The combat is intense, and consists of you dodging laser fire while blasting away at the enemies, who hopefully aren't too many levels higher than your own. If you kill them you can loot them remains. The sound effects are very good, except for the lazer shot sound, that one is rather annoying. The graphics are amazing. With very well done 3D models, very good texturing and even some great effects like the sun glare. |
