The purpose of this package is to make Doom 3 much better texture quality. The textures have a noticeably higher resolution and much sharpness than original textures. Features over 500 high resolution textures; most textures are 16 times bigger than original textures. For example, if the original texture had resolution 256 * 256, now has resolution 1024 * 1024. About 85%-90% textures are completely retextured (modeling in 3d max, baking, drawing), 10-15% textures are rescaled and overlay other textures in higher resolution. Large number of textures have height maps, so they look really wonderful with parallax occlusion mapping or relief mapping. |
