The game follows the exploits of Sarge - who's now an army of one. Players take control of Sarge as he avenges the death of his squad at the hands of the Tan Army. Sarge's War is harder-edged than previous Sarge's Heroes titles and contains more emphasis on combat tactics and fast-paced action. The real-time destruction is outrageous: Sarge with a chunk of his head melted off and another soldier with a hole blown through his chest. You can blast a leg off of a Tan soldier and watch as he hops around trying to kill you. Enemies randomly seek cover and hunt down players using a variety of tactics. The gameplay spans the Army Men world and spills into the real world for combat across kitchen countertops and other gigantic environments. The developers at the now defunct 3DO tossed in diverse authentic military weaponry such as carbine rifle, assault rifles, shotguns, bazookas, sniper rifles, grenades, flamethrowers, time-bombs, mounted machine guns, and more. | ||
