Star Wraith IV: Reviction is a sci-fi action game where the player controls a space ship. Humanity is in danger because aliens want to conquer Earth. The situation is also aggravated because there is a rebellion starting within the human forces. Now the Alliance arranges the best pilots in one unit - and the player is their lead pilot. As in most space shooters, the game is played in the cockpit perspective where the player has a lot of displays to observe, e.g. ammo and shield energy. There are also various orders for the wingmen, e.g. equated attacks or formations. This is all controlled by joystick, keyboard or mouse. There are two playing modes for single players: campaign and instant action. The campaign is a linear set of missions with goals like destroying something or escorting someone. Before every mission the player can choose his space ship and gear. The instant action missions give ten parameters to the player where he can set mission requirements, e.g. number of enemies or AI level. Alternatively he can also play a randomly generated mission. The player also can create his/her own missions and string them together as a campaign. As of January 2008, StarWraith has released Star Wraith IV: Reviction as freeware |
