Michael Mason is just an ordinary, everyday high school student who, after nearly 12 years of waiting, eagerly awaits for the much anticipated continuation of his enamored FireSpace series. After playing it only to be disappointed, he goes to bed for finals the next day only to wake up with a girl he's never seen in his life waiting for him outside his bed. Who is she, and what exactly does she want from Mike? Dimensional Eclipse is an anime themed mod featuring high speed, fast paced, high stakes gameplay. Oh, and lots of pettanko too. It's what is best described as high-maneuverability mod, where all fighters have glide, three-axis thrust, and reverse afterburners, while moving at up to 400m/s. Capital warships are fully-shielded move at over 100m/s. This provides a flavour of combat completely different from that of traditional FreeSpace 2 campaigns, taking place over larger distances, and being much faster in general, as well as being more lethal. It is set in a universe entirely unrelated to FreeSpace 2's in order to have more freedom for the new mechanics. Features include: high speed, high stakes, fast-paced flight mechanic, a new universe featuring unique weapons and a full roster of custom ships, and missions designed with emphasis on a unique gameplay experience.
