Project Silcharde Javier Gálvez Guerrero 2012

This is a freeware third-person shooter game that started off as a student project from the "UPC School" in Spain. Play as Didrik, from the Coalition's Advanced Security Squad, and protect the Biotech Research Labs from Resistance's undercover soldiers. Fire, take cover, get invisible, move and throw heavy objects, avoid hacked security cameras, or flank the enemy. You choose. It features an integrated GUI/HUD, dynamic AI, stealth-oriented cover system, different ways to get to the goal (sneaky vs aggressive), catchy storytelling that increases player immersion, quality audio and voice acting and subtitles management. It has been worked on since and has been featured as a freeware game in the December 2013 magazine "Computer Bild Spiele." The game was made with the Unreal Development Kit (UDK) engine and has some influences from Dead Space (such as the glowing spine progress bar).
