This is a highly interactive CD-ROM, which can be used as stand alone support for literacy or as part of the series of "Little Monsters" CD-ROMs. The activities on the CD all cover reading, spelling and understanding. Using the "Little Monsters" characters to create a learning adventure, this CD-ROM has six activities which cover: common spelling patterns for vowel phonemes; reading and spelling words with digraphs wh, ph, ch; using words that link sentences together; other uses of capitalisation - names, headings, etc.; identify and describe people from text; and, recognising when the reading of a poem makes sense. The CD-ROM includes parent/teacher support, which provides progress assessment and classroom management, plus a print out facility for all activities completed. The CD-ROM also comes as part of a literacy pack with paper educational support materials. One of a series of highly interactive CD-ROMs featuring the popular BBC TV 'Little Monsters' characters.
