Welcome to West Feedback Virtual Music Entertainment / Ahead Inc. 1994

This came bundled with a Virtual Guitar that hooks to your PC and software that teaches you to strum through six rock songs. When your rhythm matches that of the accompanying CD, you progress from playing in your bedroom to playing in a garage with a pick-up band. From there, if your skills are good enough, it's on to rock 'n' roll stardom. The first order of business after installing the software is to strap on the guitar, which is close in size to the real thing. Next, hook up with Lloyd, who tried to create the ultimate sound system and was sucked into the wires, becoming an electrical being. He's your mentor. Then, you just gotta get it on. The CD player cranks up a song, and you have to strum the steel strings to match the strokes that appear on the Rhythm EKG. Doing that well increases your rep points. As in REPutation. And, of course, you'll want to move from the basic skill level through rhythm, lead and stunt guitar. The Virtual Guitar looks - and sounds - like a real one and has controls for volume, distortion and feedback, as well as a cursor control. And when the output of the PC's sound card is jacked into the stereo system, enough sound is produced to justify a little Mick Jagger-type strutting. Thus the long connection cord, thoughtfully provided.
