One of the best educational programs for children that I have seen. Excellent graphics, sound, creative characters, games for entertainment, and stimulating learning activities that make advancing in math really fun. Meet Adi, a friendly alien that helps 2nd – 5th grade children move through different types of math concepts and calculations. You begin by creating your own character and typing in your name so you can keep score from session to session. You move into Adi’s Place which is filled with lots of fun things to click on to see animation, music and sounds. Kristina’s favorite is a rock-n-roll guitar and when it plays, she has to get up and dance along. You can also get to a Music Screen and a Background Sounds Screen to explore other sounds and music. Adi gives lots of clear instructions and then turns kids lose to explore on their own. The Learning Lab challenges students and progressively gets harder. With Adi’s help, children can select from Numbers, Calcuation, Measurement, Patterns, and Geometry. Each topic has 5 sections within that vary in activity and progress in difficulty. Children can start at the beginning or start anywhere they please. Whole apples indicate they haven’t tried that section yet, and an apple core indicates they’ve successfully completed it. Anyone who has school age children in the house, needs to have this well-done educational program on their computer shelf. It will be asked for over and over. |
