Multipath Adventures of Superman: Menace of Metallo Brilliant Digital Entertainment, Inc. / Warner Bros. Online 2000

Warner Bros. Online and Brilliant Digital Entertainment released the Multipath Movie Channel in 1999. It was reportedly the internet's very first set of 3-D animation channels. The Multipath Adventures of Superman, was one of their headlining feature webseries and had a new "webisode" every Thursday (moved from Fridays). The channel was part of WB's Entertaindom website. The story in this adventure begins with a plot by a mysterious enemy from the future known as Dyschord who aims to attain the Warp Ray, a powerful new weapon developed by S.T.A.R. Labs that can send a person back in time five minutes. He ultimately hopes to reshape time to his liking and has hired Metallo to steal the crucial device for him. It's up to Lois and Superman (with a little help from Jimmy Olsen) to stop this rust-prone enemy and find out exactly what is going on, unaware of Dyschord's plan. Visually and gameplay wise, the game is very similar to Brilliant Digital's other games, such as Cyberswine: an "interactive" movie rendered realtime with a 3d engine, where player has occasionally a chance to decide how the story continues. The DVD contains only the first Menace of Metallo webisode Chapter but there were 6 different ones available online.
