Enter The Story: Online Stories Chris Tolworthy 2012

This ambitious series of adventures based on classic literary works has been completely overhauled from the ground up. They are now more choose-your-own-adventure "gamebook" type of format, presenting new stories as a series of interactive dramatic images and player choices, though still with the odd puzzle, maze, and point-and-click interaction sprinkled in for variety. The other major change is a move to strictly browser-based gaming for all future episodes, opening the series up to users of all different platforms that use Javascript, including smart phones and eBook readers. Games in progress will be updated daily, and can be played right through to completion online for free, much like an ongoing web comic, at which point the story will be archived for a cost of 99 cents per story. (The first half will remain playable for free, but the second half will be locked without purchase beyond that point.) Entire stories will be released within a matter of a week for shorter stories like Dorian Gray, though some larger tomes like War & Peace could take much longer. You can also buy 10 online stories for $7.99 or for $14.99 get all online stories, the previous offline games from previous years, and you can download the online games too, and get 10 credits for future stories. Now available are: The Picture of Dorian Gray, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The First Men In The Moon, Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Sam Everyman: My Story So Far, Frankenstein, Othello, The Tempest, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, A Winter's Tale, A Midsummer Night's Dream.
