Adventures of Batman and Robin, The: Interactive Moviebook Sound Source Interactive 1995

"The Adventures of Batman & Robin" MovieBook is a visual and stylish recreation of a high-tech picture-book as well as a creative and interactive learning experience. The MovieBook combines three page- turning action/adventure tales with text, actual video clips from the TV series, photos, animation, sound effects, games and puzzles. "The Adventures of Batman & Robin" MovieBook features three distinct 20+-page storybooks, for over 70 pages of reading material -- more than any other MovieBook to date. Each storybook focuses on a different villain, with a look and feel specific to that villain. To enter "The Adventures of Batman & Robin" MovieBook children simply click on an awesome steel door which leads into the Arkham Gallery, a secret room within the Arkham Asylum, which holds the most insane criminals in Gotham City. The Arkham Gallery is a 3D rendered chamber, complete with padded walls and the Bat-symbol for a true gothic feel. One pathway represents the entrance point and three other pathways lead to adventure. Heading down each differently-hued hallway enables the child to access a storybook that describes Batman and Robin's pursuit of a different villain -- The Riddler, Mr. Freeze and Harley Quinn -- and lets the child follow in the footsteps of the crime fighters as they capture the bad guys. Children can read each adventure story themselves or choose the narrative option which automatically takes pre-readers through the story, triggering animations and video clips on cue. Reading each storybook in full rewards the child with puzzle pieces that when combined form different scenes. Each corridor also features a unique mini-game to further encourage play even after you've read a story.
