Wizmo's Workshop: Dragons of Frozzbokk Professor Fog's Workshop, Screaming Games LLC / Infogrames, Inc. 2002

This teaches color and shape recognition with a picturesque and varied cast of characters that includes multi-colored dragons and mice. Kids enhance their reading and word recognition skills as they follow the old wizard Wizmo and his friends while creating crazy machines in his lab and exploring the world of Frozzbokk. In addition to the workshop, players visit interactive gaming areas including a loft, meadow, tree, swamp, and mouse hole. Featured activities include sentence sequencing with Sparkey's Scrolls, drawing and painting on Flower's Easel, matching images at Ozzie's Great Tree, identifying patterns (shapes and colors) in Mousinni's Mouse Hole, catching various colored types of creatures in J.J.'s Critter Swamp, and shooting matching targets in Archie's Meadow with a bow and arrow. Throughout gameplay, the cursor changes shape to a targeting reticule, magic wand, or "Go" depending on which area is active. The individual game rewards are pieces and parts of fantastical machines that are assembled in Wizmo's workshop. Once completed, the machines come to life through animation and are then stored as trophies on the windowsill where they can be activated at any time. It's designed for children in the three to six year age range.
