Black Lake Double Fine Productions 2012

This is the most unusual and the most atmospheric game in the contest Double Fine's Amnesia Fortnight 2012. The game was created for the two weeks of competition where developers create prototypes for possible games to make. It’s how Costume Quest and Stacking were greenlit. The Internet voted on 23 game ideas. Double Fine spent two weeks building prototypes of the top five ideas. They were sold as a "Humble Bundle" and the $10 digital pack contained the prototypes Autonomous, Black Lake, Hack ‘N’ Slash, Spacebase DF-9, and the White Birch, as well as previous prototypes for Brazen, Happy Song, and Costume Quest. This game is based on one of the stories HP Lovecraft and Winsor McKay's dreams of a lake filled with animals. In the Black Lake, we're playing a little girl, the daughter of a hunter who goes to this lake. At the same time, from the lake bursts ancient evil that embodies the strongest fears of the inhabitants of the forest.
