See if you can find them all! You play as Abigail Swift, the daughter of Isaac the inventor. Your brother Benjamin recently inherited your father’s old lab, and stumbled upon his mysterious shrinking device. Now he’s lost somewhere within the lab, and it’s up to you to shrink in after him. This is an open-world action-adventure game that allows players to freely shrink and grow between normal human size and the size of an ant. The entire game takes place in one room, Isaac’s lab, but by shrinking players discover the fantastical worlds within worlds hidden throughout the lab. Moment-to-moment gameplay consists of exploration and environmental physics puzzles, both of which heavily rely on the player’s differing abilities at various sizes. At larger sizes, players can pick up and manipulate objects in the environment, while at smaller sizes they can dive in and explore those objects. For example, some puzzles require players to grow big enough to rotate the entire level in order to open up a new path at a smaller size. Other puzzles incorporate the player’s weight (which scales with size), size-dependent environmental hazards, and surface tension (which allows players to walk on liquids at very small sizes). |
