The Secret Chronicles of Howard Carter is an obscure game from the comic author Mathias Neumann aka Tikva, who gained a lot of notoriety with comics like Space Rat. It is a 1st person point & click adventure and it actually has a pretty ambitious story: because you take on the role of the Egyptologist Howard Carter, who investigated the Egyptian tombs. The story is based on the man who discovered in 1922 the tomb of Tutankhamen which was the only tomb found that had not been looted and contained priceless treasures. The drawn images are very beautiful and lyrical, although the puzzles may seem contrived. Only the first Chapter of the game was completed though more were planned. |
