You probably remember Shelley Duvall as the terrorized wife of Jack Nicholson in The Shining and as Olive Oyl in the movie Popeye. She then made a series of DVDs based on children's fairy tales. In addition to telling the story of Mowglie, Pearlie, and Humpty's journey from Los Angeles to the Amazon rain forest, It's A Bird's Life also contains 11 sing-along songs, interactive jigsaw puzzles, 3D finger painting, and a connect-the-dots minigame. This fun program is organized into 4 parts: Get a story - A story about Shelley Duvall, her husband and their birds is divided into 4 chapters, each about 20 pages long. You get one graphic per page and then click on the bird's right wing to continue to the next page. The neat thing about the story is the "hyperlinks." Kids can click on these links after the story page is read and get short descriptions of the highlighted phrases. |
