Dark Fall: Ghost Vigil Darkling Room [top]

Join the all-night ghost vigil at Harwood House. As part of the 'OPG' paranormal investigation team, explore the haunted buildings and investigate sightings of ghosts, long reported around the area of Wolfenden. Grab the ghost hunting gadgets and solve the mystery surrounding this abandoned building. The aim is to prove the existence of 'ghosts' through paranormal experiments. The venue is Harwood House, boasting a disturbing history, waiting to be experienced, by you. We, The Oxford Paranormal Group, believe the building is haunted, not by a single unknown entity, but several. The O.P.G have placed several remote live cameras and experiments throughout the building. Harwood House is now empty as it has been for 4 decades, but you can be the eyes in the dark... watching... waiting. Discover what happened. The house was built in 1747, as a country home for Lord Harwood, his wife and young son, Edgar. The Harwood estate was modest, stretching to a few dark wooded hills, deep in the Oxfordshire countryside. A tragedy occurred, in 1749, when Lord Harwood lost his son to scarlet fever. A mixed history then befell Harwood House; it was passed from one owner to another in quick succession. It would appear no-one wanted to stay, for long. In later years the house became a hotel, a maternity hospital and eventually, in 1968, a children's home known as Shangri La. You are new to the OPG, the Oxford Paranormal Group, but have to face your first 'all night vigil' at Harwood House. Your investigation will begin in the Attic, as your designated 'closed door experiment', before exploring the remains of the abandoned Harwood House and the Shangri La children's home. In addition to exploring your designated investigation area, there are also ghost cams available to see other parts of the venue, as well as interactions with your fellow OPG members via messages and walkie talkie. Your mission is to monitor the equipment and paranormal experiments. Things start off okay, with potential activity; orbs, flashes, temperature drops... until midnight, when things become deeply ‘unexplainable’. Who haunts Harwood House? Features: Explore the old abandoned Harwood House after dark; Use Ghost Hunting gadgets to discover supernatural activity, ‘see’ into the past, and hear the dead; Experience flashbacks to the past through Time Slips; Conduct paranormal investigations using a range of investigation methods; Use Dictaphone EVP recordings, Night Vision camera, EMF Detectors and a Thermal cam to help pinpoint phenomena; Communicate with ghosts via a Ouijaboard; Set up Trigger Object and watch for activity; Follow ghostly clues heard via the Ghost Box; Reveal paranormal phenomina with Night Vision or Thermal cameras; Use detective skills to uncover secret places and learn long lost secrets; Challenge the mind by solving puzzles and enigmas; Full cast of actors & sound to bring the haunted location to spooky life; Monitor CCTV cameras set up across the location, to watch for supernatural activity; Investigate both historic and recent hauntings at Harwood House; A cast of ghosts to discover and ghost hunting companions to remotely interact with during your Ghost Hunts; Written by Jonathan Boakes, creator of the Dark Fall and Lost Crown games; Hear real audio phenomena captured during Ghost Hunts; Point And Click interface Adventure Game; Solo gameplay. Exclusive content, including Environmental Soundtrack, Official Walkthrough and the developer's first game The Displacement, will only be available direct from the Shadow Tor and Darkling Room download store.

His cohort and sidekick DAN has decided there’s no money to be made in Adventure Games any more, so he’s going to be an indie darling platformer instead. This sees you switching between both characters and using their unique abilities together in a race-against-time effort to stop all the Apocalypses happening simultaneously by teaching an old computer about feelings. It's a new, standalone adventure starring Dan and Ben, heroes of hit point-and-click games “Ben There, Dan That!” and “Time Gentlemen, Please!”, which are somehow already definitely in your Steam library, even if you can’t quite remember how?

Unholy Society, The Cat-astrophe Games [top]

The first part of BonBon's crazy adventures is inspired by '80s and '90s movies, comic books, as well as everything else that fits into the categories of "iconic" and "pop culture". Let's face it - we're a bunch of '90s kids. Our goal was to create an experience similar to those we loved: full of witty dialogues, fleshed out characters, supernatural creatures, a tiny bit of magic, and a whole lot of retro aesthetics. And, of course, a hella lot of badassery. The world as we know is about to change - the united forces of demons, gods, and monsters prepare for another deadly attempt to eradicate "the big guys" and change the religious status quo. And, just perhaps, to drink lots of tea and discuss art in the meantime. The only one who can stop them is Bonaventura Horowitz - a snarky exorcist, who isn't exactly an angel himself. At the request of the Pope himself, Bon, accompanied by a group of his peculiar friends, sets off on a thrilling mission, leaving behind a trail of cigarette butts, empty whiskey bottles, and broken demonic hearts. Features: Quirky, fleshed out characters; Unique story, inspired by all the good stuff from pop culture; Comic-like aesthetics; Engaging exorcism system; Loads of sarcasm and humour; Pope on speed dial.

The new survivor is Zarina Kassir, a modern day cowboy using her camera and filmmaking skills to help those who cannot help themselves. As she investigated the circumstances around the ‘Mad Mick Massacre’ at Hellshire prison, she unravelled more than she bargained for. Gearhead - After hitting a Survivor 2 times with your basic attack, Gearhead activates for a short duration. Each time a Survivor completes a Good Skill Check while repairing, the generator will be revealed by a yellow aura for as long as it is being repaired. Dead Man’s Switch - You become obsessed with one Survivor. After hooking the Obsession, Dead Man’s Switch activates for a short duration. While activated, any Survivor that stops repairing a generator before it is fully repaired causes The Entity to block the generator until Dead Man’s Switch's effect ends. Affected generators are highlighted by a white aura. Hex: Retribution - Any Survivor who cleanses a Dull Totem will briefly suffer from the Oblivious status effect. If any Hex Totem is cleansed, including this one, the auras of all Survivors are revealed for a short time. A daring, modern, workaholic filmmaker, Zarina strove to reveal the truth. She comes with 3 new perks. Off The Record - Once you are unhooked or escape from the hook, this perk activates for a moment. While the perk is active, your aura will not be shown to The Killer and grunts of pain caused by injuries are silenced. Red Herring - Once you’ve started repairing a generator, it will be highlighted with a yellow aura only visible to you. The generator stays highlighted until you fully repair it, repair a new generator, or enter a locker. Entering a locker will trigger a loud noise indicator from the generator that is only visible to the Killer and incurs a lengthy cooldown. For the People is only active while at full health. Press the Active Ability button when healing another Survivor without a med kit to instantly heal them from dying to injured, or from injured to healthy. You become injured and receive the Broken status effect for a duration. You become the Obsession. Equipping this perk reduces the odds of you becoming the Obsession at the start of the trial. Ministry of Broadcast Ministry of Broadcast Studios / Hitcents, PLAYISM [top]

A country divided by The Wall. To cross it and reach your family, you must compete on - and win - a reality TV show broadcast by the Regime. This is a narrative-driven single player cinematic platformer mixing Orwell’s 1984 with modern reality TV. Rife with dark humor, sarcastic quips, and a general absurdity of the system. Seemingly built overnight, The Wall has divided both a country in two and a man from his family. To see them again, our ginger-haired protagonist has decided to become a contestant on “The Wall Show”, a Regime-organized TV show allowing competitors the opportunity to escape to freedom on the other side. However, as he progresses through the camp, our contestant soon realizes exactly how the Regime and the show operate. The promise of freedom is not exactly what it seems. Inspired by games such as Prince of Persia (1989) and Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, this revives the spirit of classic cinematic platformers where players need nimble run-and-jump reflexes as well as a healthy aversion to falling from precarious heights. To reach freedom and family, you must lead the protagonist through each of the Arenas while under the ever-watchful mechanical eye of the Regime. The variety of hazardous, dilapidated environments hold an array of obstacles for you to manage - leg-shattering drops (scared of heights?), flaming barrels of garbage (extra-smelly, extra-flamey), inconveniently-placed spike pits (of course), hanging steel beams (so much rust) - but none of this is to speak of the fates of those you meet along the way. Cinematic platformer: Run, jump, crash, and climb your way through each Arena as the narrative unfolds around you. Much of the story is unveiled via smoothly integrated animation sequences, within the environment, or from NPCs muttering bits of dialogue as you dive and dodge around them. Environmental HUD: Rather than having a screen cluttered with overlaid indicators, HP bars, and minimaps, any information the player will need is incorporated into the environment. Hints and clues are meshed into the game’s art, subtle and specific, players will need a keen eye if they want to survive each Arena without breaking their legs. Puzzle-solving: Use your wits, and at times a dash of ruthlessness, to advance through the Arenas. You’ll have to interact with the environment itself to solve most of the puzzles: use the protagonist’s momentum to move platforms, flip the occasional lever, and sometimes you might have to sacrifice an NPC or two to cross a particularly spiky pit. Story and Personality: Featuring lots of impish humor, Grade A sarcasm, and comic mischief, all balanced perfectly with the dark, heavy themes presented in this dystopian world.

From the creators of Ori and the Blind Forest - the acclaimed adventure game with more than 50 awards and nominations - comes the highly-anticipated sequel. Embark on an all-new adventure in a vast and exotic world where you’ll encounter towering enemies and challenging puzzles on your quest to unravel Ori’s true destiny. This time around, the young ghost goes outside the Nibel forest to discover his true destiny. Although there are many threats awaiting him in the exotic world, there are also allies who will gladly reach out a helping hand. During the game, players observe the action from the side perspective, jumping between the platforms and avoiding traps and chasms. As befits a metroidvania game, the individual locations merge to form a vast labyrinth-like map. However, in order to gain access to many of these locations, it is necessary to solve environmental puzzles, gain certain powers, and learn skills that allow opening closed passages. Authors have developed a new, more dynamic combat system for the game. The hero encounters both regular opponents and much more powerful bosses, which he has to eliminate using spiritual weapons, spells, and combat skills. In addition, as the story progresses, Ori learns new attacks and spells as well as unlocks new skills so that over time he can face more and more challenges. Regardless of this, however, the game features high difficulty level (just like its predecessor).

Boïnihi: The K'i Codex The Icehouse [top]

Release Date: TBA In 2062, the people of Terra discovered the Blue Matter System. With the help of this new technology, they were able to explore the galaxy in search for signs of intelligent life. One of these astronauts has been wandering through space for four years, and finally lands on a moon with no name, where a mysterious man used to live alone. Like ASA and Caytph before it, Boïnihi is a point-and-click first-person adventure with 360-degree panning, packed full of puzzles to solve. Unlike those games, however, Boïnihi is meant to be shorter, easier, and more accessible than its large-scale predecessors, though as anyone who has played those games can attest, "easier" is a relative term. Puzzle fans can still rest assured that the game will be challenging enough as you journey through another exotic faraway land. With four different regions inspired by Asian countries and mythologies to explore plus the K'i codex to translate, inspired by the famous Voynich manuscript along the way, the experience should provide more than three hours of gameplay.

Summit of the Wolf Storycentric Worlds / Unimatrix Productions [top]

Release Date: Apr 21 This is a poignant point-and-click narrative adventure presented in the visual style of graphic novels. Created by a two-person husband-and-wife indie development team, it features both fantasy and real-world segments. After falling asleep in her warm bed one night, twelve-year-old Ophelia wakes up in an ethereal garden with no memory of how she got there. After speaking with a mysterious goddess named Adena, Ophelia sets out on a personal journey to find the fabled Summit of the Wolf, whereupon she must uncover the tragic real-world events that led to her arrival in this fantasy realm. Will Ophelia complete her quest, or will she succumb to the many dangers she must face along the way? Meanwhile, in the real world, Ophelia lies comatose in the hospital, and a sympathetic nurse attempts to uncover the truth behind the tragic events that led to her life-threatening injury. Ophelia's parents insist that she fell down the stairs in the middle of the night...but can they be trusted, or are they hiding a dark secret? At its core, this is a game about trauma and its psychological effect on children. Inspired by true events and written by a medical professional (and fellow survivor), it endeavors to shed light on the topic of child abuse by showcasing the emotions that are experienced by a young girl as she makes the transition from victim to survivor. While the game does not shy away from the darkness of the topic, the tone is ultimately positive and, hopefully, both inspiring and empowering. It's a cross between a traditional 2D point-and-click first-person adventure game and a visual novel. It is presented in the visual style of graphic novels and focuses on exploration and narrative. Explore the world by navigating from scene to scene. Separate inventory, map, journal, and character screens are available at the push of a button. All standard adventure game mechanics are present, including locations to explore, items to collect and use, characters to meet and interact with, and puzzles to solve - all without any major pixel hunting. Explore an original fantasy world: The realm in which Ophelia awakes is vast and features a variety of environments, from living forests to damp caverns to cursed catacombs...and more. Interact with its many unique inhabitants: it features over two dozen characters, all with their own distinct personalities - some quirky, others helpful, and a select few terrifying. Professional actors, including the legendary Lani Minella (best known as the voice of Nancy Drew) provide many of the voices. Experience a complex narrative: Story comes first in Summit of the Wolf, and Ophelia's personal journey - both literal and metaphorical - lies at the heart of this emotional tale. Enjoy a beautiful orchestral score: the soundtrack is over two and a half hours long. Solve a multitude of challenging puzzles which abound, but they are organic rather than obstructive and fit within the context of the narrative. While you may feel challenged, you should never feel frustrated or hopelessly stuck. Uncover the truth: it's a 10+ hour interactive drama that teaches us that it is always darkest before dawn. This is the fifth entry in the ongoing Storycentric Worlds series. While it's a standalone story and can be enjoyed in full without any prior knowledge of the series, it is also part of a larger, ongoing saga. Longtime fans will see the return of fan favorites Kate Ekan and Brianna Auberon from Shady Brook and The Filmmaker, respectively, and it sets up events for the next chapter in the series.

Tormentum II OhNoo Studio [top]

Release Date: TBA The long-awaited continuation of the dark adventure game inspired by the works of H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksinski. This is a Point & Click adventure game taking place in a dark, surreal world full of gloomy characters and repulsive creatures taken straight from the scariest horrors. The hand-drawn graphics, referring to the work of outstanding painters such as H.R.Giger or Zdzisław Beksiński, will take care of the one-of-a-kind impressions that spice up the players with shivers. This time the adventure will begin in the future - in a universe where computer games bring relief in a hopeless world devastated by technology. Players will lead the fate of a game creator whose ambition is to create what has never been achieved before - a world inhabited by characters with intelligence equal to that of a human being. When one day he receives a mysterious package with a strange processor, worrying visions begin to haunt him. Reality mixes with a nightmare, and characters from the game begin to penetrate his world. Or maybe it’s the other way round. He decides to place a mysterious processor in his computer. From that moment nothing is certain anymore, and he himself becomes a prisoner of his own creation. He wakes up in prison on an island in the middle of the sea and starts exploring the world he has created. However, he turns out to be different from his imagination - much less friendly, much more aggressive. However, one thing puzzles him the most: the characters he encounters tell him about a god who lives on one of the most remote islands. About a god who has never been in his game, which he himself has not created. Players will be able to get to know the huge dark world stretching to several islands. Full of secrets and rich in various creatures. In order to find his way home and find a mysterious god along the way, the protagonist will have to travel through a vast land, which will consist of more than 130 locations - twice as many as in the first part of the adventure. While wandering around the world, players will encounter situations in which game developers will question their conscience, forcing them to make often ambiguous decisions affecting the fate of the characters they meet. Thanks to such a procedure, the linearity of the game will be disturbed, which will enable more than one ending, depending on the choices made by the protagonist. The unique atmosphere accompanying the game will be emphasized by a unique musical setting, this time enriched with metal sounds.

No Straight Roads Metronomik [top]

Release Date: May Third person action game, telling the story of an underground rock band fighting against a powerful publishing corporation. Music plays a huge role in this production - thanks to it we can predict the attacks of enemies and change the game environment. You can find elements characteristic of rhythmic games and which by its authors is referred to as a tribute to music and musicians. The production can boast of a few original ideas in the mechanics of gameplay and an attractive audiovisual setting. It was created by the Malaysian development studio established by the main producer of Final Fantasy XV - Van Hazmer - and Daim Dziauddin (he was responsible for graphic design in the fighting game Street Fighter V). The main protagonists are Mayday and Zeke, members of the underground rock band Bunk Bed Junction, who challenge the title, ominous record label, as well as its minions, i.e. the various musicians (pianists and DJs, among others) who have signed a contract with the company. The game is about traversing different locations (they are designed to suit the artist who is the main opponent of a given level) and fighting new enemies - the mechanics responsible for this aspect of the game resembles productions such as Devil May Cry, Kingdom Hearts or Nier: Automata). On each location there is also a unique battle with a powerful boss, which requires the right tactics to defeat. Music plays a very important role - the sounds we hear change in real time, falling into different genres when we blows or avoid enemy attacks. In many cases, a sense of rhythm will enable us to anticipate the enemy's behaviour (for example, bombs are dropped or detonated in specific, music-driven moments). In addition, the characters we control are able to use their own work to influence the environment - thanks to music, for example, we can turn some objects into improvised weapons. Between the next stages we get to our base (located in the sewers), where we get the opportunity to develop the skills of the heroes and adjust the equipment they carry. While staying at the band's headquarters we can also see a counter showing the number of Bunk Bed Junction fans - the value changes depending on the actions we take.

Shavra (Spyra) SerygalaCaffeine [top]

Release Date: TBA A young, idealistic writer attempts various esoteric practices, including astral projection, in a journey for self discovery and as research for his novel. As he manages to leave his very body, an odd sense of displacment posessed him and he woke up in the recently deceased shell of a young warrior on another planet within another dimension. Little did he know that this energetic rift that hijacked his astral body was a reoccuring interdimensional event that transports lower astral creatures and so called "lost souls" to posess and resurrect the fallen in the otherwise utopic world of Shavra. A cataclysmic event that happens every 700 years to rince the universe of useless energy such as lost souls. The symarian necromancers, guardians of the dead, mistake you for the messiah sent to end this catastrophic reoccurence once and for all. Will you find the means that grant you passage back to your own body? What secrets will the land of Symaria, the desert nation of Shavra, hold for you. This is a small amateur game full of magic, adventure and a little romance. It has a dreamy, mystical feel in its pastel/aquarelle colored inspired graphics, sounddesign and lore. The gameplay centers around a symbiosis of puzzle and combat, driven by the story. There will be dialogue, a primitive inventory and a bunch of other mechanics which should be very polished for an FPS Creator Reloaded game. You will be able to cast magic and use alchemy.

Last Oasis Donkey Crew [top]

Early Access Release Date: Mar 26 This is a Nomadic Survival MMO. Earth has stopped rotating, and the last human survivors need to outrun the scorching Sun in a massive Open World. Traverse the world on wooden wind-powered, walking machines. Walkers can be adapted for travel, transportation, harvesting, combat, or used as mobile bases. A multitude of structures, attachments and upgrades allow players to personalize Walkers to their needs. The Sun burns the land in the west, turning it to dust. In order to stay ahead of the obliterating Sun, nomads must explore new territories that slowly emerge on the eastern horizon, from the side of the Earth that has long been frozen in impenetrable ice. After a cataclysmic event halted the Earth’s rotation, the planet was split into two extreme and deadly environments. Only a narrow band of space between the hot and cold halves of the planet has conditions that can support life. This band moves at the pace of the planet’s rotation around the Sun, and all life on Earth must migrate with it to survive. In order to keep moving, the remnants of humanity have built nomadic machines, and a walking city called Flotilla. Every day, Flotilla transports more nomads into the passing oases, where warring clans fight tooth and nail for control of territory and valuable resources. Some nomads have carved out lucrative positions for themselves and even gained status with Flotilla; however most nomads are locked in a daily struggle for survival, forced to battle both nature and those around them. Find ways to survive. Gather resources. Craft equipment. Build your Walker. Improve your skills. Learn to exploit what remains of the world. Keep your Nomad alive for as long as you can, as you become stronger the longer you escape death. Trade networks stretch between the known oases. The global player-driven economy is based on real supply and demand. Smart and quick traders can make huge profits, but running trade routes always comes with a risk. Other nomads may opt to produce or hunt down rare and highly localized resources. It’s always wise to consider potential competitors first though. Challenge another clan’s monopoly, and you may become their next target. The world consists of many interconnected oases, forming a large open world. Potentially a thousand oases exist simultaneously - the number automatically adjusts to accommodate the size of the playerbase. Each Oasis is over 100 km2. Explore them to reveal new and unique biomes while plundering their limited resources. Some nomads may pitstop to refill their water. Others will settle for some time, but ultimately everyone will pick up and voyage east to escape the encroaching Sun. No-Man’s Land is the open desert that sits between the last livable oases on Earth. Use it to quickly travel between adjacent oases, provided you bring enough water on your Walker. You can safely log off here – the endless dunes allow you to hide your walker and mobile base if you want to go to sleep or just catch a breath. Dynamic skill-based directional melee combat. Pick your weapon from a range of one-handed or two-handed swords, maces, axes or quarterstaves. If you prefer to hammer your opponents from a distance, you can choose to fight with a wide range of onboard weapons like ballistas, scattershot guns, repeaters, or catapults. Specialize in one or become a more versatile fighter by trying to master them all. Construct portable bases or more permanent fortifications. Protect yourself from hostile players and natural dangers of the world. Stone walls offer superior defense, while lighter wooden structures are able to be packed on large Walkers and relocated. Individuals and small groups of players are the backbone of Last Oasis. Trading, hunting and harvesting allows anyone to acquire better equipment or sell goods for profit. For those who prefer a more high-risk, high-reward lifestyle, piracy is always an option, but beware of payback. Become a political and economic power. Control a region and get rewarded with a supply of local resources gathered there by roaming Nomads. Grow your clan and make alliances to maximize and protect your income. Always be ready for conflict – hostile clans will challenge your control and come to take away everything you’ve built. Master the vertical movement. Every Nomad owns a grappling hook – the most essential and iconic tool of those who drive walkers. Adapt it to your playstyle. It’s all about your skill: some struggle to climb the smallest rocks, while others swing through forests outspeeding even the fastest Walkers. Can you defy gravity?
